A Battle of our Generation

The Obama Administration is trying to ram its socialist agenda down our throats, pushing a new expensive entitlement at the same time they are driving the country almost bankrupt.

They are against the public speaking out, accusing all who oppose this Obamacare as being shills for insurance companies and Republicans. They are sending union thugs to intimidate protesters. And this is from a former community organizer. He obviously doesn’t like communities organizing against him.

Here are the stakes. The Dems may say they’re not trying to push a single payer bill, but it is transparently designed to kill insurance companies, so they can force everyone onto a government insurance plan. Not immediately, but soon enough. And the result will be, as it is wherever governments manage health care, rationed. And the first people to be cut are the people on the margins of society. The old, Alzheimer patients, the obese, smokers, drinkers, etc. People they can make excuses about.

Everyone else will have to wait months, if not years for treatment. Doctors will be scarce and bad. And things will go downhill from there. A huge new bureaucracy will grow and grow creating a lot of government jobs, which will create a lot of people dependent on the government who will keep this system locked in. In the UK, the National Health is the third largest employer in the world after the Red Army in China. 1.6 million people. That’s a large voting block.

Socialized medicine never works. It’s always dysfunctional. I was talking to Harsh Realm artist Andrew Paquette the other day. He’s now a professor of art at a top university in the Netherlands. He says the Dutch go to other countries when they need important operations. Every person I know who has had to deal with socialized medicine has their stories. I have mine. I have lived in England twice and I have used the VA medical system here. I know about it from experience.

We do not want socialized medicine in the us. The polls show the public doesn’t either. Can the US voters prevent the Dems from forcing something on us we don’t want?

We have to fight to make sure they can’t.

I have been railing against socialized medicine as long as I have been blogging. I knew this day would come because the Democrats are determined to make everyone locked into government dependancy from cradle to grave. We have to stop them. This is the most important fight we have right now.

  1. Amen.
Once it’s in place we’ll never, ever be rid of it.
You know how every time the government blows a budget they always threaten the voters by saying that they’ll have to cut “teachers, cops, firemen, prison guards, etc.” It’s never some bullshit “awareness” program or a nice fat chunk of the bloated bureaucracy. Remember when the federal government was shut down for a while some years back? The first thing they did was close all the national parks…during the Labor Day weekend. Next, they said they couldn’t mail out Social Security checks. Meanwhile, the Mohair Subsidy offices remained open. God damned thugs! Now imagine they control the health care system. All they’ll need to do is threaten to cut health care and the serfs, I mean citizens, will cave in to every tax increase and loss of freedom because the alternative will be to die. I’ve seen it happen in Canada.
Forget every other battle we’re fighting right now. All of them added together are nothing compared to this evil power grab that will leave us all slaves of the state.
My suggestion? The politicians fighting against it should simply say that they’ll vote for it only if EVERYONE in the country has to use it. The government, the unions, everybody. That will kill it deader than Michael Jackson.

On the domestic front, I couldn’t agree with you more. Then there’s those pesky Islamofascists on the foreign front…

  3. He also said he could sit down and chat with the heads of such groups and make everything All Better.

Maybe instead of a Beer Summit, this would be a Hookah Summit!
