10 Rules of Physics Hollywood IgnoresA good list of things that happen in movies, that would never happen in reality.
Scam of the Day
I told you GW was a scam to bilk dollars out of people. Here you go…
While global warming is nothing to laugh at (that’s a joke right there. Hud), an Australian company is providing some comic relief, selling carbon credits for flatulent pets and people.
So-called carbon emissions, such as carbon dioxide and methane, are greenhouse gases that are thought to be key factors in climate change. These emissions can be offset by purchasing carbon credits, which may be used to fund environmental programs.
For 35 Australian dollars (about 27 U.S. dollars), customers of Sydney-based Easy Being Green can offset a year’s worth of carbon emissions linked to their dogs, from trips to the vet to, yes, breaking wind.
Making your cat carbon neutral for a year costs U.S.$6, while U.S.$16 offsets two years of flatulence from that special someone.
So, let’s see, we should made to feel guilty for what we and animals do naturally now? Forget the SUVs...soon you will need to buy carbon credits for exhaling. Right.
Okay, I know this thing is meant to be a joke. The problem is, carbon credits are themselves a joke. A bad one. And when people try to force them on us, as you can bet they will, join the backlash.
(Carbon credits for polluting factories and such is another matter)

The UK’s Jedi community today expressed concerns that government plans to ban Samurai swords could hinder their freedom to wield lightsabres in public.
The UK’s Home Office today issued a consultation paper ahead of legislation intended to ban Samurai blades by the end of the year. In a bid to “protect the public”, replica Samurai swords will become illegal to import, sell and hire in Britain.
Breaching the new rules could mean six months in prison, and a £5,000 fine. Anyone carrying such a weapon in public could faces up to four years in prison, the consultation paper suggests.
First they came for our guns, then our samurai swords, then our light sabres.
England seems to have a real problem with letting the people have any freedoms.

A Nice StartResearch said to prove that greenhouse gases cause climate change has been condemned as a sham by scientists.
A United Nations report earlier this year said humans are very likely to be to blame for global warming and there is “virtually no doubt” it is linked to man’s use of fossil fuels.
But other climate experts say there is little scientific evidence to support the theory.
In fact global warming could be caused by increased solar activity such as a massive eruption.
Their argument will be outlined on Channel 4 this Thursday in a programme called The Great Global Warming Swindle raising major questions about some of the evidence used for global warming.
Ice core samples from Antarctica have been used as proof of how warming over the centuries has been accompanied by raised CO2 levels.
But Professor Ian Clark, an expert in palaeoclimatology from the University of Ottawa, claims that warmer periods of the Earth’s history came around 800 years before rises in carbon dioxide levels.
Let us hope there is more debate and not less. The media and political hacks like Al Gore have been hammering us with endless one sided propaganda, not facts. The public needs to be informed about the truth. And the sooner the better.

Have you heard Hillary’s fake southern drawl, which she employed at a campaign stop in the south?
It’s worse than Gore’s fake Black Preacher act which he does while visiting black churches.
Talk about patronizing phonies.
UPDATE: Oops! Things aren’t looking so smooth for the anointed one.
Inverse Racism
What do you call it when people of a race tell you you no longer belong to the club. Why? Because it hurts their bottom line. Welcome to the world of Native Americans.
“Cherokee Nation members have voted to revoke the tribal citizenship of an estimated 2,800 descendants of the people the Cherokee Indians once owned as slaves.”
Ever since Congress allowed Indian nations to each own one casino back in the late 1980s, many tribes have been expelling marginal members to increase the slice of the pie for the remainder.
That’s because the main benefit of belonging to a tribe—the rake-off from a single casino—is finite. In contrast, black and Hispanic organizations have backed broad, inclusive definitions of who is black or Hispanic because the rake-off from being black or Hispanic—affirmative action quotas—are indefinite in magnitude. The larger the percentage of the population, the larger the quota, and the larger the number of voters who are beneficiaries. (Of course, in this zero sum game, the greater the black and Hispanic rake-off, the more pain is inflicted upon whites, but the more white political opposition the more minority ethnic activist groups seem necessary to their constituents, so, for their leaders, what’s not to like?)
That’s the problem with identity politics. It has become nothing more than a scam of its own, to extort money from the government (and in some cases, businesses). In the case of Native Americans, we see how the way their deal is structured, they have to cheat their own to maximize the take. Human nature takes over. Say goodbye to the idea of unity.

The 10 Weirdest Things in SpaceThere’s some stuff here I haven’t heard of before. My favorite: Space-Time Foam.
The more we learn about the universe, the more we discover it’s like nothing we imagined, or even comprehend. Which is part of why I laugh at concepts like man-made global warming. The cosmos is so far beyond us, we are less than microbes in the galactic all. And as far as the earth goes, we are microbes in comparison.
