Hansen Busted
The chief global warming hack, James Hansen, who is often referred to as the “father of global warming” has been caught lying on several occasions. Most recently when NASA was found to be using false record dates for temperatures. Now he’s been caught in another falsehood. It’s time this dufus is written off as the attention whore that whe is.
Did NASA scientist James Hansen, the global warming alarmist in chief, once believe we were headed for . . . an ice age? An old Washington Post story indicates he did.
On July 9, 1971, the Post published a story headlined “U.S. Scientist Sees New Ice Age Coming.” It told of a prediction by NASA and Columbia University scientist S.I. Rasool. The culprit: man’s use of fossil fuels.
The Post reported that Rasool, writing in Science, argued that in “the next 50 years” fine dust that humans discharge into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuel will screen out so much of the sun’s rays that the Earth’s average temperature could fall by six degrees.
Sustained emissions over five to 10 years, Rasool claimed, “could be sufficient to trigger an ice age.”
Aiding Rasool’s research, the Post reported, was a “computer program developed by Dr. James Hansen,” who was, according to his resume, a Columbia University research associate at the time.
These people don’t understand anything about the climate if they think humans can so easily affect it. More importantly, when they make alarmist claims that would have major impacts on the world economy and laws, all of which would be negative, it’s time we (the people) stopped listening to these charlatans. They are like the crazy man shouting from the street corner.

The Russian who saved Millions of Americans
An interesting story from the Cold War. When the Soviets shot down Korean Airlines jet 007 things were tense between their cuntry and the West. A computer glitch almost set WWIII in motion. One man with a finger on the button made a wise choice. Many don’t even know who he is, but he may have saved their lives.

Mexican drug cartels now operate in almost every region of the United States and bring in as much as $23 billion a year in revenue, according to a Government Accountability Office report that will be released Thursday.
U.S. assistance has helped Mexico combat cartels, the report says, but those efforts have been hampered by Mexican government corruption and by the failure of key players in the United States, including the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, to coordinate better with Mexican law enforcement. The White House drug policy office, the report says, has prepared a counter-narcotics plan but has not discussed portions of the initiative that require Mexican cooperation with authorities in Mexico.
“The Office of National Drug Control Policy has to stop dropping the ball and doing sloppy work,” Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa), who requested the report, said in an e-mail Wednesday. “They had plenty of time to forge a working relationship with the Mexican government, but it appears that nothing has been accomplished.”
Senators like Dick Durbin want to sneak amnesty through piecemeal in stealth add ons to unrelated bills. And the feds conveniently do a rotten job fighting Mexican drug lords in the US. The same drug lords who have turned many Mexican towns into free fire zones. There’s nothing to stop them from doing that here if the government isn’t willing to do their job.
It isn’t just “workers” who sneak into the US. It’s hordes of criminals of all kinds. When 30% or more of US prisons are filled with Mexican nationals, that should be a major clue the problem is out of hand. Those are just the ones who were caught. Think of all the crime that’s been committed by people who have no business being here.
The Feds run around spending untold billions of dollars “fighting terrorists”, who have a pretty negligible impact on US fatalities compared to alien criminals. It seems they are doing a pathetic job fighting a major threat to our way of life. Our social services are falling apart because of the burden “undocumented” aliens are putting on them. Our hospitals are being driven into bankruptcy. The working class are seeing their wages undercut and the crime is getting out of hand. All of this would be vastly more managable if we actually enforced our laws.
