Some of the stuff here is pretty interesting. Most of it wouldn’t make it pass the editor’s desk. But there’s some fresh takes on Marvel characters.
The Incredible Shrinking Freedoms
Each generation allows their kids less freedom to wander around. We’ve become so paranoid kids are practically prisoners of their parents until they reach a certain age. I’m glad I was able to travel around a lot on my bike as a preteen. I used to like going all over the place on my bike, exploring the countryside. Even when I was a little kid I wandered all over our neighborhood and surrounding environment in Oahu, Hawaii. I attribute exploring strange new places as sparking my imagination early which lead to be being a creative writer.
But a this picture shows, people are given less and less rope.

What Costs More than the Iraq War?
It’s one thing to take in workers we may or may not need. But that’s not what I and many others complain about. I don’t have a problem with people from Mexico coming here. It’s all about the flagrant disregard of our sovereignty and laws. And the massive toll it takes on our social services. Many American citizens, who need our social programs, are being short changed because illegals are bleeding the system dry.
The so called leaders of this country have to be aware of this. Why they took so long to start making an effort to change things us a seriously bad reflection on their competence.

The New Surge
Fred Thompson is getting money and voters. I’m rooting for him as you know. I think he can defeat the others if he does well in the south and then Super Tuesday. The others are too comprimised and/or fake. Fred is the real deal.
Many people were writing him off. I never did. He may just surprise a few “experts”.
D-Day on a Budget
Talented people can make major films if they know how, for not a lot of money.

Crystal Island
![]()
Moscow is about to have the world’s largest building. It’s an arcology called Crystal Island. The floor area alone will be four times the size of Pentagon in Washington DC. At 1500 ft. tall, it’ll feature 900 apartments, 3000 hotel rooms, an international school for 500 students, cinemas, a theater, sports complex and much more. There will also be a 16,500 space underground parking lot for all the visitors. The Crystal Island visitors will be able to enjoy panoramic views of Moscow on the viewing platforms located 980 ft. above ground.
Back in 2001 some people were saying there would be no more sky scrapers because of 9/11. Obviously, they were as wrong as the Y2K people or the global warming people (will be shown to be).
America used to be the place where all the great buildings were, but we’re being eclipsed by other nations.
This is just the beginning of the 21st century. One wonders what other structures we’ll see be seeing.

Clinton’s a Honky
The First Black President and his wife are now officially ofay cracker rednecks. They’ve probably just secured Obama South Carolina and Michigan.
A series of comments from Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, her husband, and her supporters are spurring a racial backlash and adding a divisive edge to the presidential primary as the candidates head south to heavily African-American South Carolina.
The comments, which ranged from the New York senator appearing to diminish the role of Martin Luther King Jr. in the civil rights movement — an aide later said she misspoke — to Bill Clinton dismissing Sen. Barack Obama’s image in the media as a “fairy tale” — generated outrage on black radio, black blogs and cable television. And now they’ve drawn the attention of prominent African-American politicians.
As if they were ever that real to begin with. Bill’s bamboozling mojo seems to have worn off.
Fred’s The Man
Fred rocked the debate last night. Human Events just endorsed him. They’re my favorite conservative paper.
To me Fred is the most open, no nonsense, straight talking politician in the race. He’s also experienced and pragmatic. Not a dogmatist. Not a showboat or a huckster. I really hope he wins South Carolina so he has some legs. It seems to me the others could be knocked out at this point of Fred takes charge and does well in a few early primaries. Those who said he was dead were saying that about McCain not long ago.
