17 Downloadable Free Graphic Novels

There’s some good ones here. I especially recommend (Alan Moore’s) Swamp Thing, (Grant Morrison’s) Doom Patrol and Fables by my friend Bill Willingham.

It won’t be long before most new comics are found on the internet.

  1. I like the idea of downloadable comics and all, but I still really prefer being able to read comics in book form holding it in my hands.  The old fashioned way of reading feels more comfortable to me.

  2. Well, yeah. The problem is, the prices are too high. Makes it hard for people to discover new books.

  3. I can’t get into the whole reading comics online…I much rather prefer a hardcover I can hold and put in my bookshelf.

  4. NYC 2123 was pretty good. It was made specifically for the PSP. Pretty much just single panels that you click through. Trying top read normal comics on that is a chore. Plus you can’t see the PSP screen in bright daylight. Other than that, I haven’t gotten into reading comics on my computer.

  5. Online comics would be great for hard to find back issues for sure and having those available online is a great way to get people updated on stories.
