$77 a Barrel
Oil is dropping, the dollar is rising.
I predicted we’d see gas in the $2 range sometime this year. It’s happening later than I thought, but it’s looking more likely all the time. My local gas station has it at
$3.44 a gallon right now. But gas prices always lag oil prices.
When the stock market settles, as it will, we may see the economy rebound sooner than expected. Just not before the election.
UPDATE: It’s already at $2.80 in Tennesee.
Here in Illinois I saw gas at $3.25. Were it not for the high tax on gas here, I am sure we would be below $3.00 also.

Posted by on 10/10 at 06:44 PMWe’re hitting under $3 at the el cheapo places here in the Valley. Main brands (Shell, Chevron, QuikTrip) sill in the $3.10 to $3.25 range.
