A Monkey Walks into a Bar

1. Heh...that’s the area of Japan my wife comes from.  That monkey seems more useful than some of my relatives, to tell the truth.

2. Is it common to have to sit on the floor over there? That place looks pretty cramped

3. It’s a very ordinary looking place, space-wise.  Yes, it can be cramped in such restaurants.  Sometimes my seat has to be chosen very carefully, especially since I’m left-handed.  But you get used to it.
   As for sitting on the floor, that’s very common--probably the usual--outside of metro areas.  Again, you get used to it.

4. Well, since making chairs causes carbon problems, we shall all sit on floors soon, in caves with no lights because that’s not green. So we can all “get used to it”. The Japanese are showing us the way.
