  1. This was eye-opening and shocking.  I was most shocked by the mother who complained her child was in kindergarten and hadn’t learned to write his name yet.  Hello??

My granddaughter at age three could say her ABCs, count to twenty, write her name and knew her address and phone number.  Why?  Because her parents taught her.

I know the schools have big problems, but parents need to be more involved with their child’s learning.  How does a boy get to high school with only a 4th grade reading level and his mother hasn’t addressed it before then?

Well, I have more to say, especially about that union, but unfortunately I have to head off to work now.
