American Idol

I finally caught up on the episodes I missed except for the ladies last night. I have to say, this is the best looking group of contestants I can remember. A lot of really stunning women. But the guys are the best in terms of talent this year by far. This season is like the opposite of last season where the women ruled.

Leading up the guys is 17 year old David Archuleta who blew everyone away with this rendition of Imagine (A song I am sick of, but he made it sound brand new).

He’s very modest, but I hope the fame doesn’t get to him. He’s already got the girls in the audience screaming for him. 

Heh, I wish people would realise the communist way of thinking behind that song.  Not that many fans of such songs would care anyway, but it’s thinking like this that can lead to genocide.

To me it’s as sappy ss Kumbaya. It’s as deep as a Hallmark card. But so many people think it’s this incredible message. The message is actually rather lame and unrealistic.

I like the way this kid sung it however.

The guy with the dreads is Jason Castro.

I like David Hernandez, David A,, Chikezie, and Michael Johns. Of the women I like Brooke White and that rock and roll nurse. I forget her name at the moment.

Sure glad I’m not alone on this. That is the creepiest song I know. When the kid started singing it, I just couldn’t listen so I ff’d to the judges comments. Then I just had to rewind and David was fantastic!!!! I just HATE that song.........it’s EVIL!!!

Yeah, it’s the theme song for $cientology. 

David A. has such a mature voice that I forget he’s just a kid.  He was so upset last night when the others were sent home.

It seemed like the Noriega kid (Danny?) was much gayer this week than last. He looks like he could be Jessica Alba’s brother.

Rocker Robbie dated Britney Spears for a few months.

I’m rooting for Kristi Lee Cook of Oregon, just ‘cuz once upon a time I lived in Oregon.  I think she’ll really start to shine when she gets a country song.

But yeah, Brooke is really really good.  So is Carly.

Jason Castro could model - gorgeous eyes!

Kristi Lee Cook is gorgeous. A lot of the women (and men I suppose) are extremely photogenic. I think Kristi could be successful, but so far she hasn’t impressed me as a singer as much as some of the guys this year.

Danny Noriega is the feyist contestant they’ve ever had. Normally gay candidates get the axe first, but I think he’s really talented so it’ll be interesting to see how far he goes.
