Both Parties are Crooks

Trillions of dollars have gone missing from the Federal government and no one is doing anything about it. If you tried to run a business you had thousands, or millions missing, someone would have to pay. Someone would get fined at the very least, or get dragged through court. They lost Trillions. Not billions. TRILLIONS of dollars. And no one or thing is being held accountable. Think of that next time some politician wants to raise taxes or talks about people not paying their “fair share”

We really need to send most of the politicians home and a severe housecleaning of government agencies needs to happen, because that’s where a lot of the problems lie. because crooks in power are stealing from the people and bankrupting us. It’s like a Mafia bustout.

  1. I just don’t get WHY some people think we don’t pay enough taxes to our government!

If they’re so damn irresponsible with what we give them NOW, why in the hell would giving them MORE OF OUR MONEY make our government officials more responsible?

    It just doesn’t add up…

  2. Many people just don’t get it. The government has more money than its needs. They get over e2 trillion a year in tax revenue. That’s more than the entire GDP of most nations on earth.

  3. Not to mention the IRS admits (admits!) it would fail an audit if given one.  But they’re safe--no one in the government even has the right to audit them.  And nothing would happen if they were audited and found lacking.  Unlike you and me, who would go to jail or be fined bankrupting amounts of money (of course, we’d still owe them after bankruptcy--only IRS debts survive bankruptcy).

  4. Actually, taxes older than after three years go away in a bankruptcy. But you owe for the past 3 years. And taxes after 10 years are automatically not owed anymore, to the feds. So it could be worse.

But frankly, the system is bad and the real criminals are getting away with murder.

  5. They go away...IF they decide not to charge you with tax fraud.  And then then can go back as far as they like.  And they don’t have to prove fraud, just charge you with it.  Don’t like it?  You can go to Tax Court, a special system of “justice” completely outside the rest of the US systems, with no appeals to Circuit Courts or the Supreme Court, and no use of precedent (every case is tried ab initio based on their rules in place).  Even better, in Tax Court the onus is on you to prove your innocence, the exact reverse of the rest of the US legal system.
I’ve also been highly pissed at how they get first bite of the pie after a commercial bankruptcy.  Dark Horse and I and a few others sued to get our money from a bankrupt distributor, and when the dust had settled, the IRS (who hadn’t spent a nickel in lawyer’s fees, mind) stepped in and seized almost 85% of the money.  When our lawyers asked how the IRS had arrived at that figure owed, we were told to piss off, it was none of our business.
They’ve got it all sewed up, the bastards.  Something that bothers me particularly is that you have to pay US taxes for ten years after you leave the country, even if you give up your residency or citizenship.  And here I thought slavery had been outlawed.

(Heh.  Turing word: death.  Yep, death and taxes.)
