Bwahaha!!
Now, even Democrats are beginning to understand what plenty of people figured out a long time ago. With the Clintons, it’s all about them. They don’t care what you believe, but you better do what they want or you’re the enemy. It’s their world and you are lucky to live in it. Bow down!
It’s hilarious they consider Move On an enemy when Move On was formed to defend Clinton during his impeachment. Their very name comes from a phrase Hillary often used to say that all the scandals were “Old News, And its time to Move On”. But because the Clintons will fight for the nomination till the end they will split the Democrats and ensure a McCain victory. I said this months ago. I am saying it again. Here is an example why,
UPDATE: It gets funnier.
Mark my words, neither will get the nomination. Obama will not have the votes he needs to clinch, and it will devolve into a vicious floor fight. By the 48th ballot a new name will be entered, and he will take the nomination.
They’ve both worn out their welcome, and I expect even the pledged delegates are looking for some way to get out of their commitment. When it comes to leading a country ideals aint crap; honesty, integrity, courage stand for a lot more, and one day Democrats and Republicans alike will understand this.
Posted by mythusmage on 06/01 at 01:44 PMSo whose name do yo think will be submitted? Al Gore? He doesn’t fit that description any more than Hillary.
Posted by on 06/01 at 01:47 PMWon’t be Gore, his name is as much poison as Clinton or Obama. No, it’ll be somebody people have heard about, but not in this context.
Unless, that is, the Democrats are as stupid as some hope they are.
Posted by mythusmage on 06/01 at 06:28 PMI can’t think of anyone on the Democrats with that kind of style who they could get behind. They have too many incompetents and crackpots on their team, getting all the attention.
I think McCain has an easy job ahead of him. But frankly, I am not thrilled about any of my choices this year.
Posted by on 06/01 at 08:18 PMI doubt McCain’s run will be easy (or even that he’ll win), but the scenario put forth in comment #1 is crazy enough to actually happen.
Either way, it’ll be an interesting Democratic convention.
Posted by Edshugeo The GodMoor on 06/01 at 09:02 PMI don’t know, the Dems are too split and the candidates too damaged. Hillary supporters, who are many, will probably not vote for Obama and Obama supporters aren’t enough. He had a hard time beating her.
I suspect a lot of Dems will stay home unless some amazing, galvanizing figure appeared out of nowhere to unite them. Who could that be? No one I can think of.
