Debates

I didn’t get to watch the debate, but I DVRed it. I was in a meeting that lasted several hours longer than I expected, and it was about a 45 minute drive back home. So when I sat down to eat some dinner (a roast beef sandwich and a banana), I wasn’t interested. I will watch it over breakfast. By most accounts on the internet gave it to McCain, though there was no knock outs. If anything Obama stripped himself pretty bad by blatant lying and agreeing with McCain too much. I’ve seen the excerpts.

Will this effect the polls? We shall see.

  1. His ignorance of the realities of foreign relations and geopolitics were jaw-dropping.  I knew that wasn’t his strong point but I didn’t realize he had less grasp of it than a high school student in the model United Nations.  McCain didn’t give him half the pounding he deserved on that.  (If Palin had said this stuff, the MSM would have her head on a pike.)
Can you imagine if he, as he clearly intimated, went hat in hand to Khameni?  The US would be a gutted laughingstock in the Middle East in a day, and held in contempt around the entire world the next.
This is not a serious person.  It’s unbelievable he’s considered presidential timber..although his tongue seems made of wood.

  2. That’s the thing that amazes me. According to polls (yeah, I know) the majority of the American people think Obama understands the economy better than McCain. I mean, that is frankly insane.

Obama has no accomplishments, and he proved once again during this week, that all he does is sit back and comment. He does nothing and has no ideas.
