Hansen Busted Again
GW hack and “father of Global Warming” James Hansen is revealed to be all about the benjamins, just like he accuses anyone who is skeptical of global warming. And once more this sheds light on how disreputable the GW alarmists really are if people bother to dig deep for information.
How many people, for instance, know that James Hansen, a man billed as a lonely “NASA whistleblower” standing up to the mighty U.S. government, was really funded by Soros’ Open Society Institute , which gave him “legal and media advice”?
That’s right, Hansen was packaged for the media by Soros’ flagship “philanthropy,” by as much as $720,000, most likely under the OSI’s “politicization of science” program.
That may have meant that Hansen had media flacks help him get on the evening news to push his agenda and lawyers pressuring officials to let him spout his supposedly “censored” spiel for weeks in the name of advancing the global warming agenda.
I’m sure this isn’t the last time we hear something bad about Hansen. And he’s one of the biggest “experts” the GW shriekers trot out.
The politicization of science is something the Communists used to do. And it always leads to bad results. Science and Politics don’t mix. Any scientist who tries to enable the politicians for some agenda in this way should be drummed out of their position.
Oh come on ... what a pile of rightwing propaganda!
First of all, “The politicization of science is something the Communists used to do” ... listen to yourself?! That’s what EVERYBODY does - left, right, middle, top and bottom. Is it bad? Yes, of course it is - science should be unpolitical, but the fact is it isn’t. Every piece of scientific research is sponsored by someone who has an “interest” in the findings, which is always of a political and economic agenda. And about the article, you and IBD are perhaps reading a bit too much between the lines. OSI’s report says that he was granted “legal and media advice” ... it says NOTHING about what it was used for, so that whole “lawyers pressuring officials” aso is pure speculations! Can’t use that for jack shit.

Just as scientists once were jailed for heresy if they offended the church, the GW shills have tried to practically criminalize skeptical scientists. And now we’re finding that they, the pro-GW “scientists” have been falsifying evidence and taking money from left wing political groups. Gosh.
Sorry, but Hansen is a whore.
Posted by James Hudnall on 09/26 at 10:40 AMThere is a profound difference in the sort of politicizing of science that occurred in America (and elsewhere) before the 60s, and something like Lysenkoism in the USSR, where State-approved science is--for all intents and purposes--the only science allowed. Since the 60s the US has been moving towards Lysenkoism on many fronts, and the result has been corrosive. It has led to the profligate waste of billions of dollars on junk science, and the suppression (via denied grants and tenure) of all opposing viewpoints. GW is just the latest bugbear, and it will surely not be the last.
The cunning genius of GW however, is that it will supposedly Destroy The Whole World. This means you can demand any sacrifice of people because, hey, we’re talking about the Whole World, here!
I wonder what the next scare will be? We’re going to “destroy the solar system”...? The galaxy? The universe? Just think of the tax possibilities!Posted by on 09/26 at 04:45 PMThat’s why I recommend that British Documentary “The Power of Nightmares”. Even though some of the political stuff it says is false, the premise of the film is dead on. Politicians use fear to justify their actions and it’s getting out of hand.
