Happy Thanksgiving

I’m about to set down to a T-Day spread my mom made with my sisters. Turkey, Ham, Baby Back Ribs and a host of side dishes that look awesome. Then there’s Kaluha pie waiting afterward.  Hope you guys have a great holiday. What did you all eat?

  1. We went to Camp 18, on Hwy 26 between Portland and Seaside, for their Thanksgiving buffet.  We had our choice of turkey, ham or roast beef, along with pasta, green or pea salad, ambrosia, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, olives, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie or apple crisp.

We passed on dessert and had pumpkin cheesecake at home.

Even though it’s a 90 minute drive to Camp 18, we go every month or two because we really love their food.

    Boy, those ribs sound good!

  3. Bannod,

I didn’t know you were up in the North West.

The ribs were really good. There’s a lot left, so I will be having some for lunch today.

There was also pecan praline yams, green beans, mac and cheese, cucumber salad, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and for desert Kahlua pie and pumpkin/pecan pie which is something my mom makes every year. It’s pecan pie on the bottom with pumpkin filling on top.

Too bad I flew down or I would take some leftovers home tomorrow.
