How Bacteria Nearly Destroyed Life

Scientists studying ancient sediments and fossils have an interesting theory that bacteria altered the atmosphere and the iron content of the seas, which almost extinguished all life.

It just gies to show that nature can effect climate all on its own. Human beings are numerous in our eyes, but in truth bacteria and insects vastly outnumber us. And while they may be small, the numbers make a difference

It’s rather egotistical for some people to claim we can change the climate by driving cars and using light bulbs when, as big as our traffic jams seem, our footprint on this planet is insignificant compared to the rest of nature.
