I Like It
This idea is long overdue. Especially in an age when parking spaces keep getting smaller.
I saw that on a “Kustom” car in the 60’s.

Posted by on 12/13 at 09:39 PMI have a suspicion that in the 60’s, the cost of the machanism(s) would have been prohibitively expensive. Now, I think that more practical issues would control. Can you imagine this thing working in the snow?
I applaud thier efforts to make a more “human” car, which is why I now own a Suburban, you can see, and it’s easy to get in and out of.
My last car was a Porsche (whale-tail Carrera) and after spending years climbing in and out of the semi-recumbent position, I wanted to sit up straighter and get out of the car without doing yoga.

Ahhh, the pleasure of heated seats in the winter. (of course, I had the Porsche when I lived in LA - no snow)
Posted by on 12/13 at 10:16 PMI never cared much for low cars. I’m 6’4” so they are a pain to get in and out of for me. I had a Camero when I was in my 20s and I hated how low to the ground it was. Every car was taller so I could never see head of them. I like sitting up high in my mini van.
Posted by on 12/13 at 10:34 PMYeah, I had a 69’ Boss 302 Mustang when I was 20. Dad got it for me from a towing company and I rebuilt it, turned out it was a “factory” race car so that Ford could claim to be a manufacturer for the CanAm series. Fast? From a stopped position at the bottom of an onramp, I could floor it, move up the ramp, across lanes, and into the fast lane, hit 65, and just then, shift into second… Ohhh baby!
Fords Rule, Chevys drool…
