In Portland
Actually, I’m right next door to Portland in Vancouver, Wa. Looking for a house. I am moving here at the end of the month, if not sooner.
So posting may be light this week. We’ll see.
I love it up here. Very beautiful. After 10 years in the desert this is exactly the kind of place I need.
That is a big switch - do you like rain? The winters in the northwest are pretty dreary and bleak.
Posted by on 07/07 at 10:11 AMI guess it’s goodbye Vegas . . .
I know what it’s like to move from one state to another (even though I’ve only done it once).
At any rate, good luck with the move, Hud! I hope you’ll be comfortable in your new location!

Posted by on 07/07 at 11:32 AMI’ve been in Vegas 10 years. Rain would be a relief, besides, I lived in England twice.
I like all the trees here. I’m from Northern California so this is more like home to me.
This will be the 5th state I have lived in. (California, Hawaii, Nevada, Florida were the others)
Posted by James Hudnall on 07/07 at 12:53 PMHave a look a tiny bit further N. towards Castle Rock. A little more space between neighbors. There’s a lot of displaced folks from Appalachia around there. Make friends, and they’ll give you the shirts off their backs. Make enemies and they will see to it that you rue the day you were born.

Posted by on 07/08 at 04:10 AMEveryone gets lured to the PNW in the summertime. I lived in Seattle for 8 years and travelled to Oregon frequently. There is no more beautiful place in the US, but get ready to live in a cluster of the craziest liberals this side of San Francisco. Should give you some good blog material.
