Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of Balance
This is a great movie if you haven’t seen it. It came out in the mid-1980s and features stunning music by Phillip Glass. I have it and the sequels on DVD. basically, the film is just videos of nature vs industry. Its’ supposed to be a critique of modern life. It’s hard to take your eyes off it once you start watching.
Here’s the trailer:
Here’s the trailer for the sequel:
This was on one of the HD channels a week or so ago. I came in maybe during the last 45 minutes, and like you say, couldn’t change the channel.
Someone once said that the sixties didn’t actually end till about 1973. Looking at the modern footage reminds me that the seventies was still alive in the early eighties.
(just did a quick check on wikipedia - that some of the footage is from the seventies. I think the point still stands).

It was, as you might suspect, awesome.Posted by on 05/11 at 10:24 PMI love the soundtrack. I have them on CD and have since the movies came out in the 80s.
