Multiculturalism Must Die

Pat Condell on appeasing Islam

  1. Agree completely with his point here, but like so many other atheists, he sometimes tends to lump all religions into one thing on his other videos.  Even though he sees the dangers of Islamofascism, he seems to believe that ALL other faiths are just as potentially dangerous.

  2. TJX,

That’s been my concern with aetheists and ignorant people all along.

As much as most of us DO NOT like being told what to believe, I think it’s a safe bet that many of us who DO have a strong value system got it through religious activities IN ADDITION to the examples set by our parents and significant elder relatives.

Secular society and public school systems are generally awful places to educate kids about right and wrong.  They are so concerned about not offending one or another group’s sensibilities and lawsuits that it seems like a lot of basic values and common sense lessons get untaught.  Traditional values get assigned the “conservative” tag and of course we know anything labelled “conservative” gets the shaft in many educational spheres of influence—generally because the kids have “Moonbeam” as a teacher or a diehard Marxist/insert your choice of ideologue who does not look favorably on traditional Judeo-Christian value systems.

Many business people also fall into the realm of aetheism, by the way, and rationalize horrible decision-making and screwing over other people by fact of a lack of conscience.  Their god is the size of their bank account and their financial holdings.  Why should they have any conscience if they don’t believe in otherworldly (after death) consequences for their actions?  We already know that these guys could care less what other people in this lifetime think of them!

  3. Agreed.  The problem I have with Pat Condell is that he’s on a personal crusade against all religions just because he had a bad experience with fellow Christians he grew up with.  IMO, he’s taking out all his frustration on ALL of us who believe in God and that’s just not right.  In fact, I find many of these outspoken aetheist to be angry, hateful and frustrated old men.  But I guess they could care less what I think.

  4. There’s plenty of intolerance and hypocrisy on all sides. People often hide behind religion whole they do bad things, the atheists who attack religion are intolerants who attack religions for being intolerant.

Strip all the labels away and you fidn people acting badly. It doesn’t matter what group they belong to, its the individuals who are the problem. Assigning blame on them because of their group is meaningless.

I ran this because this is one of his speeches I agree with. I haven’t run any of his others on here because they are just picking on religion. Here he is talking about an attitude Muslim fanatics have which is dangerously anti-social and should be dealt with.

Many secularists may have dropped religion but they believe some other BS as a replacement theory. People with some kind of belief system like to think theirs is greater than someone elses.

I don’t care what anyone believes until they start infringing on my freedoms or my neighbors.

  5. Well thing is, he talks about Western culture being in danger of extinction in Europe and possibly North America.  And one cannot deny that Christianity pretty much shaped and molded western civilization as we know it.  So I find it absolutely hypocritical that one is trying to defend our culture, while being ungrateful to the religion that made it what it is today.

I think the last time someone tried to start a new society in the west without Christian influence ended up with Scientology.  And look how well that’s going.

  6. Yep. It’s also hilarious when secularists who all themselves liberal bash Christianity, when liberalism came out of Christianity.

Liberalism is a product of Christianity. That’s a fact anyone can look up. Yet, what many so called liberals/progressives endorse is illiberal. It’s repressive, and regressive.

Stateism, for one thing, is anti-human. It’s anti-freedom.

  7. Heh, not just liberalism I think.  Multiculturalism or some form of it that kinda works came out of Christianity too I believe.  I mean, how many other religions allow you to dress in your own traditional clothing, speak the scriptures in your own language, and in some cases, worship in a way that is unique to your country/community.  I mean the idea of all men being created equal and anyone of any race or social status being allowed to be part of the Christian community?

  8. Oh yeah, correct me if I’m wrong here, but didn’t the Vatican also commision a lot of western Europe’s great artistic and architectural projects?  I mean if art and design isn’t = “Liberal” I don’t know what is. grin
