Newsflash: Global Warming is a Lie

It seems Y2K really did cause an apocalypse. In the minds of fools, anyway. The people who’ve been ramming global warming down our throats and claiming the earth is getting hotter have been basing their views, in part, on a computer glitch. That’s why computer models can’t be used with any certainty. Garbage in, garbage out.

NASA has now silently released corrected figures, and the changes are truly astounding. The warmest year on record is now 1934. 1998 (long trumpeted by the media as record-breaking) moves to second place.  1921 takes third. In fact, 5 of the 10 warmest years on record now all occur before World War II.  Anthony Watts has put the new data in chart form, along with a more detailed summary of the events.

The effect of the correction on global temperatures is minor (some 1-2% less warming than originally thought), but the effect on the US global warming propaganda machine could be huge.

But they tend to ignore things that prove them wrong. That’s why they call it propaganda.

It’s even worse than it sounds--it wasn’t a “computer glitch,” it was a planned, deliberate attempt to cook the books and get the results they wanted for political reasons.  The guy who did this, James Hansen, should be fired.  Immediately. 
And he should never be able to get a job in science again.

Hansen is one of the biggest GW shills out there. They call him the “father of Global Warming”.

It’s sad how some people will cling to every last faint straw, just so they can go about their business as usual, and totally ignore what’s right outside their own window.

The facts, Bob, is that NASA and Hansen, two groups who pushed a lot of the GW propaganda that people like Al Gore have taken at face value have been caught lying. Does that mean people will go, oh, we were wrong? No, they make too much money off this false crisis. And you, buy into it because it fits your ideology that man is bad, etc, etc.

Laugh at me all you want, but this isn’t a right or left wing issue. We are being lied to by people with an agenda. Does it really matter which side they are on if the ned result is we get screwed?

You need to get out of that team sports mindset. I don’t care if the right or the left is lying to me. I only care that I am being lied to.

Right and left are almost meaningless terms, that are bandied about by the elites to manipulate people on one side or the other to go the way they want them to.

Well, if the terms left and right dosn’t hold any meaning, how come most of your posts on this blog is about bashing the “left”.

I agree that “we” are being lied to by everyone ... but you too are doing the exact same thing that you claim other, less enlightend people, are doing. You are taking the information that best suits you.

Everytime you come across an article on GW, written by “righties”, you publish it here. - you do that because you keep trying to convince others (and yourself?) that everything is allright. It’s EASY to find those kind of articles when you have your “stumbleupon” account set to that.
The problem is that you are not reading the articles that say that GW is real.

Maybe you should try to look into that a bit more ... seems to me like you have just jumped on that banwagon saying that GW is a big horrible lie. You are really not very objective.

You’re missing all my points, but more specifically, you keep ignoring the fact that NASA had to admit a colossal mistake, which looks like a deliberate political lie.

You try try to dismiss the whole thing as right wing lies, when it’s not really a right wing issue. You then try to basically invalidate anything I say saying its ideological when your whole position is ideological. Look at your first mesage in this thread.

You’re doing exactly what you accuse me of doing. Its called projection.

But all that really matters in this discussion are the facts. And the facts is, the GW people lie and lie a lot. That calls anything they say into question. Their politics are immaterial.
