No Energy Independance
It sounds like a great idea, but it’s actually a horrible one. Instead of making is reliant on no one, it makes us more vulnerable.
How’s that? John Stossel explains.
I’ve been seeing these commercials telling us how the American people demand that clean energy replace fossil fuels in 10 years. That’s another pipe dream. We will probably have a lot more “clean energy” by then, because the science is getting better all the time. But the fact is, forcing something that’s inferior on the public will only make for more problems, not less.
Everything has to happen in its own time and not due to arbitrary milestones.
Oil is the cheapest and most powerful source of energy we have by far. And there is lots of it. Like it or not, unless someone invents some magic power source, it will be with us for a long time. Unless the eco-fanatics manage to outlaw it somehow. Lets’ hope more rational minds prevail.
