Once Upon a Time

You could smoke in movie theaters. They even had ash trays in the back of the seats in front of you. John Waters defends that practice.

  1. Actually, this very announcement was used as a “no smoking” announcement at a movie theater in Berkeley I used to go to in the early 90s. It was very funny, but meant in an ironic way.

  2. Maybe, but he was a lot older in the 90s than he is in this video. I saw this same PSA back in the 80s. So it goes back a lot farther.
