Peak Oil is a Myth Part IV

What this guy is saying is basically true (about oil). We have more oil in our capped wells than the Middle East. There are vast sums of oil not even discovered and Russia has plenty of oil in Siberia to last a while. South America will be the next Middle East. Brazil is becoming a major oil power. Oil prices today are speculator fueled. There will be a crash in oil prices just like the home prices. Maybe bigger. Watch.

They won’t be able to keep this a secret forever,. Peak oil is a lie. It benefits the oil producers. The so called Greens who hate the very idea of carbon based fuels are helping the oil companies. Hilarious, eh?

The one thing he doesn’t get right is, it would take yeas to develop the infrastructure (pipelines, etc) to pump Alaskan oil from these new fields. And of course, environmentalist would sue to stop any drilling, dragging things out even longer.

A lot of our prices are the result of environmentalist hysteria. If they had not forced so many boutique gasolines on states and stopped drilling in places like ANWR we would have low gas prices right now.

  1. This makes me so angry I don’t have the words.......I get Repub party money pleas and I started writing on the receipt “DRILL IN AMERICA!!!” and put it back in their postage paid envelope to send it back. I’m sure they’ll listen to me!! HA!!! Well, at least they may stop sending me this junkmail.

  2. Hell, we haven’t even done much exploring in the north since the early eighties, and on the coasts?  Looks like it petered out back in the sixties.  The Chinese literally know more about our reserves in the Gulf than we do.  And they soon be drilling them out with less-than-environmental-perfection while the greenies watch with slack-jawed incomprehension.
Scum like Chavez and Putin openly declare economic warfare on the US using oil, and we ship literally billions of dollars to our open enemies in the Middle East because some freaking Berkeley liberal thinks the ANWR looks like the Swiss Alps and that his backyard compost heap can power industrial America.
This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.  Even if the populace rises up in revolt over the next few elections and gives us politicians who will drill and build refineries and nucs, it will be at least a decade before we get our feet back under us.  And during that time, our enemies will take full advantage of our self-inflicted weakness.  Our military, the most powerful, capable, and well-trained force in history, will be utterly useless when the battle is being fought in the commodities market.
