Pizza Hut’s Cheese Isn’t Cheese

Just as some fast food places use beef patties or meat that lacks a lot of real meat, it seems Pizza Hut uses a silicone based chemical substance in its “cheese”. Ugh.

I’ve learned years ago to stay away from processed food. It’s generally bad for you in all sorts of ways, not just in weight gain. Not to mention that it usually doesn’t hold a candle in flavor to good home cooking with fresh ingredients.

UPDATE: Milkweed offers a retraction. Still, the cheese on some of these megachain’s pizzas is pretty bad.

  1. Hud,

Seems that there is a denial from Leprino Foods and a retraction from the Milkweed.
