Maybe this is Marvel’s way of dealing with the Simon lawsuit.

Even though Kirby didn’t create CA, it’s the one character he is probably most associated with.

I hope that’s NOT the case.

It’s crummy enough what DC did to Superboy—even though the last version of that character really WASN’T the original Superboy.

Speculation is rampant on DC boards that DC KILLED Superboy because of the Superman lawsuit by Jerry Siegel’s widow.  She reportedly got FULL control/copyrights to Superboy back.

I thought Marvel and Simon had settled the Cap lawsuit.  I hope this latest blunder by Marvel is NOT their way of getting around the lawsuit.

Regardless, Joe Quesada’s ignorant and very nasty commentary about Captain America’s relevance today—regardless of whether this is another cheesy marketing campaign by the current Powers-That-Be at Marvel—really makes the blood boil.

That whole gang at NuMarvel ought to stop kidding themselves.. they are NOWHERE near the class of Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, and the other guys that made Marvel great between 1961 and 1986.  The NuMarvel is populated with a bunch of clowns that don’t seem to understand these characters.  They just parrot old storylines and distort characters and situations to fit political situations that are nonsensical.

WHERE’S the FUN in that?

<SIGH> At least we still have the reprints of back when the Marvel characters were great.  They sure aren’t being treated well now.
