Scam of the Day

No matter who wins the election, I predict more of the same stupidity in the name of protecting the Earth. Polar Bears are doing fine. So are lying environmentalists counting their grant dollars.

Alaska industry and political leaders reacted with disappointment, even vehemence, to the decision Wednesday to protect the polar bear as “threatened,” despite assurances from the Bush administration that the listing would mean no new regulation in Alaska.

Industry officials worried that the listing decision would give environmentalists a new tool for opposing development in the Arctic, especially new offshore oil exploration and development. Politicians attacked the science behind the decision as speculative.

“Reinterpreting the Endangered Species Act in this way is an unequivocal victory for extreme environmentalists who want to block all development in our state,” said Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska.

There’s a predicted 70 seat loss to Republicans this election. That will mean, no matter who wins, that Democrats fully control the Congress. McCain is also a RINO, so he will probably do “environmentally friendly” stuff as well, supporting Global Warming measures and so on. All of this is bad for the people in a lot of ways. Loss of freedoms, loss of rights, loss of services and things you used to take for granted.

Watch. Protecting polar bears sounds so innocuous. But that’s not what this law is for. It’s to block oil exploration and drilling. Something we need to do. And more land owners are likely to have less ability to work their land in the future because of draconian laws.

And look, this came from Bush. Wait’ll you see what the next president does.
