    Great to see animals themselves do art.

    Funny thing is, I saw a little dog on AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS take markers on a customized mini-table, and draw doodles on the paper (while sitting up)!  I wish knew where I put that video (or if I can ever find it on the net somewhere) . . .

  3. If that isn’t some kind of “training” trick (which I doubt), it is the most convincing evidence I have ever seen for abstract thinking in animals.  Astounding.
    Mind you, there is a big difference between drawing a picture of yourself and designing dual-core processors, discovering calculus, and writing Hamlet, so I’m not one of the “See?!  Animals are just as smart as us!” crowd.
    Still, it’s impressive.
