Sorry, Al. You Lose.
The global warming peeps have a lot of explaining to do. Three years in a row with mild to no Hurricanes, despite their warning to the contrary. And now we have the coldest winter in a long while.
Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile—the list goes on and on.
No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA’s GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.
And yet they told us the opposite would happen. Gee, could they be...what’s the word I was looking for…
Ah yes, WRONG?
Yet many political hacks and so called Greens want to impose carbon cutting laws, even criminalize climate critics, when it’s more than likely completely unnecessary. All three presidential candidates (sans Huckabee) are promising action on climate change. Which reveals how absurd this debate has become. There are plenty of reasons to question the global warming hysteria. Nature has just delivered several reasons. Some are even saying we’re in danger of a mini ice age.
Nature has a way of making fools of doom-sayers. In time, the global warming people will be proven wrong. In the mean time, let’s hope they don’t get away with too many laws, restrictions and taxes. One is too many and they have already done that. We need to keep the damage in check.
Global warming proponents will now try and desperately turn this around. They are already trying to repackage it as “Climate Change”. Soon they will suffer a crisis of credibility because for 20 years we have been told of warming based on computer models and the fact that we have been in a natural warming cycle that seemed to bolster their claims, but now mother nature may have stopped cooperating with them. The public has been sold on warming and in the next couple of years when average temperatures begin to drop people are going to start asking questions and wondering why the predictions have not come about. The proponents will say that with climate change it can either go warmer or colder. Well how convenient, they can get us coming or going and no matter what happens to climate even if it stays the same they can spin it to justify massive government programs, trillions of dollars in wealth distribution and carbon credit schemes. Not to mention extreme limits imposed on human behavior such as transportation and energy usage. Global Warming has been a socialist’s dream come true.

His Goreness will say, “See? You listened to us and changed things, so the temperatures went down! We were RIGHT! Give us more money, and we’ll save the world...for a small fee, of course.”
