Star Wars in Engrish

A Pirate Chinese video of Revenge of the Sith has some interesting subtitles. Some of the dialog is better than Lucas’.

I always knew there was a dark force in the Presbyterians. Now it is confirmed.

Those are pretty good. I live in Indonesia - it’s almost impossible to find original DVD’s here, so we watch a lot of pirated copies. Sometimes the subtitles are fine - mostly when it’s a video that’s been out for awhile, and the disc is a copy of the original. But when it’s something recent, seeing subtitles like this aren’t uncommon.

Unfortunately, it’s made engrish.com not nearly as funny anymore.
