Top 10 Jackie Chan Stunts

  1. I love that guy.  His level of skill in so many areas is amazing.
My favorite fight scene of his in in the bizarrely titled “Wheels on Meals” where he takes on Benny “The Jet” Urquidez. I read they were both black and blue afterwards--Jackie had cracked ribs and Benny had greenstick fracture of his forearm.
After watching Jackie’s movies, I was forever ruined for Hollywood stunt fights, which are just lame in comparison.  It’s like they have OSHA looking over their shoulder.  Slow and boring!
Thanks for getting me into Hong Kong movies, Jim.  With that plus introducing me to anime and manga, I’ll always owe you one.

  2. I’ve been watching Korean, Thai and Indian movies lately. The Thai do some decent martial arts stuff. The Koreans make a lot of good films. Indian films are a mixed bag but I’ve become a big fan of an actor they have named Irfan Khan. He’s been showing up in some of our movies lately like The Namesake (great film) and The Darjeeling Limited. He’s a very powerfully subtle actor who does more with a look than many actors can do with a whole scenery chewing scene.
