Democrat Coverup Exposed
The Democrats fought tooth and nail against Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac oversight and regulation and lied about its problems. Even now, they try to make criticism of FM/FM out to be racist. And the same cast of clowns who are responsible for this mess, are in front of the media now trying to take credit for the bailout.
Of course, Republicans don’t get off scott free. If they really believed there was a problem, they had the majority at the time, and didn’t fight hard enough to deal with it. They are not doing enough now to expose the root of the problem.

Kramer’s Meltdown
One year ago, Jim Kramer went nuts on his show about the very things happening now. He saw it in advance, and warned everyone. People said he was crazy. I remember linking to this video at the time. Here it is again.
Personally, I worry about Obama getting elected, because I don’t think he has a clue how to handle this mess. And the Dems he likes are even more clueless. They helped cause it in the first place.
Um-Uh-Uh
UPDATE: Family told Obama they did not want him to wear their son’s bracelet. He did anyway for the debates.
A Long Overdue Investigation
The BBC is being investigated for one sided Global Warming coverage. They have been ridiculously one sided about it. Almost as bad as the press here has been for Obama.

Debates
I didn’t get to watch the debate, but I DVRed it. I was in a meeting that lasted several hours longer than I expected, and it was about a 45 minute drive back home. So when I sat down to eat some dinner (a roast beef sandwich and a banana), I wasn’t interested. I will watch it over breakfast. By most accounts on the internet gave it to McCain, though there was no knock outs. If anything Obama stripped himself pretty bad by blatant lying and agreeing with McCain too much. I’ve seen the excerpts.
Will this effect the polls? We shall see.
Worst Bond Song Ever?
Here’s the new theme to the next James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, by Alicia Keyes and Jack White of the White Stripes. I don’t mind it, but apparently fans on the internet are calling it the worst Bond theme ever.
I’d have to say Madonna’s theme for Die Another Day gets that prize. What do you think?
Hard Times for Hef
I’m surprised this hasn’t happened sooner. Playboy is kind of an anachronism in this day and age.
Tycoon Hugh Hefner has been advised to cut back on staff at his multi-million dollar glamour empire as it struggles to cope during the global economic turmoil.
The 83-year-old has been told to lay off some of his staff at his Los Angeles and New York offices as soon as this month or go bankrupt.
The company has recently seen shares fall from £6.20 to £1.55.
An insider at the company told the Daily Star that bosses had been aware of the worsening situation for “a while”.
The internet has made publishing tough for men’s magazines. Playboy has diversified to other media, but I’ve always found their stuff pretty corny. I guess the success of people like Joe Francis have shown there’s still a market for tease. But Playboy has become pretty old fashioned. And the whole Hef act was getting pretty old in the 80s, let alone now when Hef’s in his 80s.
What Caused the Meltdown?
The same people who are championing the bailout are the most guilty in this mess.
