Chiller was a two issue prestige series from Marvel/Epic by James Hudnall with art by John Ridgway. It was collected into a trade paperback by Image Comics.

The story concerns Brian Marx, a chaos magician who is hired by a mysterious group called the architects to solve a problem for them. The Architects is a secret society that some of the founding fathers belonged to. The occult members of this group had summoned a demon to help them win the Revolutionary War, but it was too wild so they imprisoned it in an underground bunker. In the present a construction crew unearths it while building a parking lot. The demon gets loose and wreaks havoc on the world.

Brian's only hope to defeating it is to talk to the wizard who summoned the demon. But he is long dead. However, his genetic memories may lie in his last living descendant, a TV reporter for a Manhattan station.

But bringing back the memories of the old sorcerer may have been a worse mistake than loosing the demon on the world.
