  1. I’m pretty much all-around disgusted by how sycophantic the entire MSM is to the Anointed One.

    Hypocrites, all of them!

They couldn’t wait to bash Bush on every little thing he did every day of his Presidency (except for the grace period around 9/11) but the Anointed One gets a pass on every pathetic flub he makes as well as his bad ideas and complete lack of knowledge of anything outside the little world that exists in his head.

We’ve had a complete breakdown of responsible media and it’s sad that so many people are just accepting it.

P.S. — Getting back to comics. the only thing more annoying to me than all the Crises at DC and the Hero Brawls at Marvel are the cloying, butt-kissing comics about You-Know-Who and these supposedly balanced comics about other political types.

If I wanted to read a typical political entry on Wikipedia. I’d got to Wikipedia for that! As anyone with an ounce of brain knows, there’s no balance in politics on Wiki unless you’re part of the Kool-Aid drinking crowd and accept that Wiki balanced — which it’s not. All criticism about non-Lefties all the time but all-praise but Lefties all the time without mentioning the personal faults and serious moral defects of a bunch of famous LIbs (Teddy K. comes to mind).

But, of course, Rush ‘N all are racists… It’s so obvious!

    (NOT!)

(I don’t agree with everything Rush (when I bothered to listen years ago) says but his biggest problem is that he can be boorish at times and say really stupid things… LIKE ANY NORMAL PERSON! That doesn’t mean he’s racist. I’ve HEARD Black Conservatives host the Rush show when he was on vacation… Supposedly during times “he said nasty stuff.” It’s all political clap-trap. The biggest racists and hatemongers have been on the Left and within the Democratic Party if anyone has paid attention to their history!)

  2. I voted for Obama, and gladly. However, I do not think he’s infallible, nor am I happy with a lot of the things he’s done (or not done) in office. I think it’s a shame that so many people keep defending things they don’t agree with as if he’s some sort of messiah.

I didn’t have anything personally against McCain (and very little difference, politically speaking), other than a lack of good judgment in running mates. And yes, that is me personally insulting Sarah Palin. While unhappy with the previous president’s performance and policies, I don’t despise the man, nor do I think he’s some sort of evil bastard. Can’t say the same for Cheney, but I digress…

My big point here is that, as a socially liberal and (more or less) fiscally conservative guy, I find this (depending on which side you’re on) “Libs vs. True Americans” and “NeoCons vs. Progressives” war of words obnoxious. I don’t know if Rush is truly racist in the sense that a lot of people I’ve met are racist (most of them are average city folks with obvious prejudices that are never spoken in public – not knuckle-dragging Klan members), but he is an pompous asshole. Then again, so are many pundits – whether they be on Fox News or MSNBC. And, personally, I’d rather not waste my time listening to or watching pompous assholes.

Lastly, GeorgeC, based on this (italics mine):

Please, please learn to write in logical, complete sentences. When you don’t, it makes you look dumb. I’m not saying you are dumb, but, writing like that does not reflect well on you.
