  1. Ummm…. Before you go propping up Mr. Hamm for Superman, Hud, you might want to check out some of the crazier things he’s said politically.

    Hamm’s a Kool-Aid drinker.

There. I said it. Had to be said.

You understand he’s done FunnyOrDie “commercials” propping up Obama-care (done in conjunction with MoveOn.org) and has said some really, really hateful things about Conservatives and anybody else who doesn’t agree with the Obama agenda?

Is that who any of us would want to be the most historically significant superhero in pop culture?

Granted, I think the chances of him being cast as Superman are 10,000 to 1, and I would never want casting based on my own political biases, but it would definitely affect whether I would pay to see the guy in a theater… I have skipped films over casting of people who I found personally offensive and essentially useless tools.

Regardless of what some people may think, I do think character matters quite a bit. How you compose yourself in public and the respect you show your opposition says a lot.

(I find most middle-of–the-road, right-of-center Americans tend to be a lot more respectful than the Far Left and people who are generally vacuous, self-absorbed, vain individuals.)

Given my own past experience, I don’t like to feed the mouths of bullies.

    • I know. I was just passing this along. I can separate an actor’s work from their politics. He seems to be a typical actor trying to be accepted by the hive mind.
