Followers Don't Lead

Me tooism has infected the left now that they were made to feel like eunuchs after the success of the non-partisan, non-poitical Glenn Beck “Restoring Honor” Rally, which they apparently feel very threatened by. So they’re holding their own rally on October 2.

Labor leaders, liberal religious leaders and the NAACP will hold a rally on the National Mall on October 2, one month before the fall midterm elections, in an attempt to show they too have political clout and momentum in response to last Saturday’s massive gathering of Tea Party types led by Fox News host Glenn Beck.

“The AFL-CIO is determined that the Tea Party and its corporate backers are not going to get the final word,” said AFL-CIO executive vice president Arlene Holt Baker. “We will expect tens of thousands of union families to come.”

“We are fueled by hope and not hate,” Holt Baker said.

Oooh, “We’re not about hate!” That’s news to the people who’ve been beaten or assaulted by Union thugs. Since Beck’s rally had nothing to do with hate at all, and wasn’t political, this gatheing of political ideologues who are starting off with a false premise does not augur well.

They are trying to rally their troops to endorse more dependence on the state and radical statist enablers. The big difference is Beck asked people to come to his thing. They will be telling, aka encouraging >koff<, their people to go. And we'll see how many they actually get. Beck had many more months to promote his gathering on his popular TV show. They will be trying to harangue people to go to theirs and they will bus in as many as they can round up to make it look big. I suspect Beck's rally will come off looking better. Just a hunch.

  1. I am comforted by this statement: “The Tea Party and its corporate backers.”
As long as they don’t understand us, they can never defeat us.

  2. They can’t believe ordinary people can organize around such ideals as the Tea Party represents because all leftist groups are organized by people backed by foreign governments and other enemy forces. So they have to see things in that kind of lens. They have no grounding in reality since all of the lefts groups are based in false narratives.

  3. Hey look Jim Wallis will be there:

And Jim Wallis, a liberal evangelical leader who is CEO of Sojourners, will lend a religious flavor to the event.

Hahahahaha. The fix is in. That’ll shut the Tea Party up for sure:

Evangelical left activist Jim Wallis of Sojourners has become the virtual house evangelical for the Obama administration. He is the ostensible chieftain of a supposedly populist uprising of social justice religionists whose “biblical principles” demand ever larger Big Government. So, naturally, Wallis is threatened by the Tea Party movement, whose support extends well beyond Wallis’ constituency of liberal clergy and campus activists.

Recently Wallis editorialized against the Tea Partiers from a “Christian” perspective, and invited Sojourners supporters to jump in with their own critique. He also opined against Libertarians, whom he regards as almost interchangeable with Tea Partiers. The sin of both groups, in Wallis’ eyes, is their hostility to Big Government, which Wallis of course equates with God’s Kingdom.

Hahahahahaha. This is going to be fun!
