No He Can't

So the Obama admin is conceding on the public option, thinking that’s going to get his health care bill through. His polls numbers, which are as low as 42 approval may have something to do with that. They probably think they can have some wins and see their numbers up again. Here’s why they are wrong and why they are basically doomed.

“We’re entering a new season,” senior adviser David Axelrod said in a telephone interview. “It’s time to synthesize and harmonize these strands and get this done. We’re confident that we can do that. But obviously it is a different phase. We’re going to approach it in a different way. The president is going to be very active.”

Top officials privately concede the past six weeks have taken their toll on Obama’s popularity. But the officials also see the new diminished expectations as an opportunity to prove their critics wrong by signing a health-care law, showing progress in Afghanistan, and using this month’s anniversary of the fall of Lehman Brothers to push for a crackdown on Wall Street.

The healh care bills are rife with insane crap. The public option is only part of the problem. They want to kill off insurance companies and don’t think any new bills will be anything but something tio lay the groundwork for it in the future. The public will not let any bill go through without a lot of scrutiny.

Going after all wall street is more anti-capitalist nonsense which si going to hurt the economy and make him more hated. Demonizing capitalists is not wiinning him any friends except Castro and Chavez.

As for Afghanistan, ha ha ha! Unless he commits a lot of troops, which he doesn’t want to do, he is going to fail there. His methods have been hurting us there. These guys are terrible at war an they are not friends of the military.

Some people are saying it’s all over for them. I think it’s possible, but it ain’t over till its over. Let’s hop the damage he does is minimized so the next crew can clean up the mess. He’s not only incompetent, he’s a dangerous zealot.

  1. I’ve come to the conclusion that Obama is not as power-mad as I once thought. I now think he really is a true believer who is ready to throw himself on the grenade and be a one term president as long as he can jam through the maximum amount of socialist legislation he can while he’s still in power.
That’s scary. A man with the power of the presidency of the USA who has nothing to lose is a pretty alarming prospect.
